Did you know that the average person walks up to 10,000 steps a day, covering 120,000 kilometres in a lifetime? Your feet are made up of 52 bones, 66 joints, over 38 muscles and have more than 200 ligaments – it is no surprise that most people experience foot pain in their lifetime!
Due to an ever increasing demand in foot care services, a qualified professional from The Podiatrist practice in Toowoomba and will now be visiting Dalby.
The Podiatrist (formally Toowoomba Footcare Centre) has been operating in Toowoomba for the past 15 years and Dalby patients can now access quality care by booking with the visiting Podiatrist Troy Parsons, who will be providing services out of the Dalby Physiotherapy Centre.
Troy has over 12 years experience including a stint with the 2006 Commonwealth Games medical team, and a particular interest in biomechanics, alignment issues, sport/lifestyle related injuries and paediatrics.
“We are so defendant on our feet, but they are often neglected. People put up with pain for a long time before seeking help,” says Troy.
“When patients return for an assessment, and elated to be finally without pain - it gives me a real buzz.”
Troy’s effective diagnosis and treatment involves using state-of-the-art technology including 3D computer gait analysis, computer aided orthotics, footwear advice, biomechanical examination, exercise prescription and stretching advice.
“Prevention is better than cure and correct alignment is the foundation of good health for all ages.”
